In the table above, are listed five insurance companies who offer wedding insurance and marquee cover insurance within the UK. As noted marquee cover is standardized at 20,000 pounds of coverage.  If consumers were going to purchase by price alone, it is most likely they would pick the cheapest insurance package.  However, while the marquee coverage is uniform the details of the wedding insurance cover is quite different.  This makes it difficult to shop solely by price because the comparisons are not the same.  This is even more profound. Because marquee cover is sold as an attachment to your wedding insurance policy. Consumers cannot purchase marquee insurance for their wedding as a standalone policy.

To find the best value for the the pounds being spent, it becomes necessary to compare the and wedding insurance policies. The goal here is to make sure that what is being offered as wedding insurance cover is beneficial to the consumer. Why buy insurance coverage, if it’s not beneficial to you?  This is important because wedding marquee insurance is connected through the wedding insurance policy that you choose.

The wedding insurance table is comprehensive and list wedding cover sections as a comparison across all five companies.  The consumer should immediately see why examining cover sections for weddings is important.  There’s very few similarities within coverage.  This is why comparison is necessary when looking for value, as opposed to price.  Value is rarely identified solely by price.  In other words, cheaper may not always be better.

For the sake of comparison, we can divide this table into two groups.  Each group is represented by control of your insurance provider.  Control in this case means insurance providers ability to limit loss based on cover maximums within cover sections. For example, if you look at the cover section for transportation.  Which represents a wide range of cover that each company has a different maximum cover.  This means that the insurance company can limit loss based on the maximum amounts listed under the transportation cover.  The second group, which includes public liability, legal expense, and failure of suppliers, is outside of your insurance companies control to limit loss.  In this case limit loss implies to your loss, not the insurance company.  Public liability is a good example of a cover section that adds value to a policy.

A claim that is made under this cover section would likely be handed down by a court of law. Following a lawsuit.  Your insurance company is not going to be able to say that loss within this cover is going to be 2,000,000 pounds or less.   So these three items within this entire table add value to your insurance policy. These are the only three areas that should be inflated for coverage, because in this case, more is better for you the consumer.  Cover sections such as wedding attire, presents, rings, cake, flowers, photo/video, should all be in proportion to the cancellation value of your policy.  In this table the cancellation value is 10,000 pounds.

If we look at wedding attire, which has a coverage range of 2500 pounds to 5000 pounds, the question arises about how much coverage is appropriate.  If your wedding budget is 10,000 pounds how likely are you to spend half of it, or 5000 pounds on wedding attire? For most cases the answer is not very likely.  This means that for most consumers. This cover section is inflated.  Inflated cover is insurance you are paying for, but you’ll never use.  Inflated cover diminishes the value of your policy.  All of these cover sections that have the limitations should be within a proper percentage of your wedding budget or your cancellation cover.

In closing this article, we like to recap a little bit of what we talked about in the preceding paragraphs.  Value is not always represented by price and as such, consumers should compare policies to find the best value for the money being spent.  This article should have given consumers the information needed to find the items within insurance policies that add value.  It should also shown the areas within an insurance policy that have limited cover and should be in proportion to their cancellation cover.

Shopping for insurance can be difficult.  There are lots of terms that we are sometimes not familiar with, but using the tables in this article should empower consumers to make quality decisions about choosing appropriate insurance coverage.  We started this conversation talking about price.  I think it’s fitting to end this article by saying that the best value policy compared here today was the policy offered by John Lewis Insurance.

This also happens to be the most expensive policy that we look at, but again value is not determined by price.  In this case, the policy offered by John Lewis Insurance, offered value in the appropriate areas, maintain insurance coverage limits that were in proportion to the cancellation coverage, and offered a few services of this policy that were not listed in the other four company’s offerings.  As we close this article. It is our hope that you found this information useful and beneficial as you shop for wedding insurance and wedding marquee insurance.
